Nova Scotians can see how the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation is meeting its social responsibilities in its 2010-11 Community Report, released today, Oct. 3.
?This report provides Nova Scotians with an update on the commitments we have made as part of our Social Responsibility Charter,? said the gaming corporation?s acting president and CEO Stephen MacDonald. ?We take our responsibilities seriously and we fully recognize that Nova Scotians want a socially responsible gaming industry. This community report shows how we are meeting our obligations.?
The report outlines more than 30 commitments that were made during 2010-11 and includes the status and results of each as they relate to the five pillars established under gaming corporation?s charter: Responsible Gambling, Integrity and Security, Citizens and Communities, Corporate Governance, and Stakeholder Relationships.
