Stress is one of the most common contributors of poor eyesight. When one is stressed, the muscles tend to tighten your eyes and make you strain them. Just like your neck, your eyes also need to be massaged. In fact, more attention is needed for best vision.

Eye exercises are very simple and one needs to take their time. For instance, to effectively exercise your eyes, you need to take up to 30 minutes daily. Unfortunately, many people see it as wastage of time and can not just find themselves spending the few minutes in exercising their eyes.

However, there is an easy way for those who think the 30 minutes is a lot of time. For this alternative, one needs to make a list of 4 to 7 exercises daily. This should be carried out at different times of the day. By the end of the day, you will find that you have done all the seven exercises but you will have spent more time than the 20-30 minutes that is usually required.

One of the exercises involves holding a pen in front of your eyes and looks at it for at least 3 seconds then shift your eyes to any stationary object in the room. Look at it for 2-3 seconds then shift your eyes back to the pen. If you do this 5 to 6 times a day, you will probably get excellent results. Although it is usually suitable for those people who work in an office, it could be applied in other workplaces.

Another exercise is done by rolling your eyes in a big circle, making sure you look at all sides. You can further stretch your eyes. Best results can be achieved if you do this over 6 times in a day.

Substitute methods are done by setting your elbow on your lap and rest your head on your palm. Close your eyes and place the bottom of your palm over them with some little pressure exerted. This can be done for about thirty seconds. All these exercises help to relieve tension but, you can further improve your eyesight by use of simple instruments and following some programs. This has been done by hundreds of people and they bear witness that their eyesight has greatly improved. So you should take this step now and be one of the witnesses to better eyesight with the help of the exercises.
