What Cardio Can You Do to Get Rid of Cellulite? ? aerobic exercise

Cardiovascular exercise can help reduce the appearance of cellulite on thighs, legs, buttocks and abdominals by building muscle while reducing fat. Because cellulite forms on top of muscle, performing cardio exercise, such as aerobics, swimming and running, helps to burn fat, reducing the appearance of cellulite.

Walking

Cardiovascular exercises such as walking increase blood flow and oxygen intake. The result is firm muscle and decreased body fat. Since cellulite is comprised of body fat, the appearance of cellulite may be reduced when participating regularly in cardio exercise. Equipment you may need for certain aerobic workouts include an exercise step, exercise ball and small to medium hand weights (3lbs. to 5lbs).
Stationary Exercise Equipment

An elliptical trainer is a stationary exercise machine that helps increase blood flow and oxygen intake while burning fat. If you can no longer run or walk long distances because of knee or lower back pain, an elliptical trainer allows you to exercise without causing further injury. By burning fat and developing muscle, cellulite may appear less noticeable over time. A stationary bike or step machine are other exercise machines that can help you reduce cellulite while toning muscle.

Swimming

Swimming helps build a variety of muscles groups including arms, legs, thigh and gluteal muscles while increasing blood flow and oxygen intake. Alternate between several types of swimming styles to get a full workout. Make sure to exercise arms, legs and thighs to help eliminate the appearance of cellulite.
Weight Training and Stretching

Lifting weights helps build muscle while burning fat. When you incorporate strength training into an aerobic workout, cellulite may become less noticeable because as you build muscle, your skin becomes firmer. Try to complete two 30-minute weight training sessions a week in addition to other cardio exercises to minimize the appearance of cellulite. Stretching helps reduce the appearance of cellulite by burning fat while lengthening muscles. Lunges and squats are common stretching exercises that can be incorporated into most aerobic workouts.
